Paraplanner

  • Paraplanner role in our London, Kent or Fareham office.

    We are looking for a paraplanner to join our growing paraplanning team. We are flexible and are looking for someone working either full time or part time depending on what suits you the most. 

    Working under the Head of Paraplanning, you will be working with financial advisers and in conjunction with the support services team. You will carry out research and analysis and you will be preparing suitability letters, reports, and recommendations. 

  • The key responsibilities of a Paraplanner include, but are not limited to:

    • Create suitability reports for Investments, Pensions, Protection and Inheritance Tax Planning. 

    • Conduct research and performance analysis using the tools provided. 

    • Provide technical support to IFAs enabling them to write business compliantly. This is to include conducting research, gap analysis of a client’s circumstances and reviewing existing arrangements.

    • Collaborate with financial advisers and support staff to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and firm procedures.

    • Liaise with providers and third parties to obtain information, quotes, illustrations and product details for cases in order to formulate recommendations for clients.

    • Maintain Continuous Personal Development (CPD) by attending in-house training and keeping abreast of industry developments. 

    • Interact and follow the internal Investment Committee (IC) guidelines when researching client solutions.

    • Maintain and update back-office systems. 

    • Perform other ad-hoc tasks in the office as required. 

  • We are looking for someone with: 

    • At least two years’ experience working as a paraplanner

    • Strong attention to detail

    • Good communication skills, both written and verbal

    • A solid understanding of compliance within an IFA environment

    • Knowledge of industry software (Intelliflo is what we use)

    • Good MS Office skills

    • Ideally a level 4 diploma

    • Minimum of 33 days of holiday, inclusive of bank holidays

Financial Adviser

  • MWA Financial Advice is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Adviser to join our team. The successful candidate will provide personalised financial planning advice to our clients, helping them achieve their financial goals and secure their financial future.

    • Provide personalised financial planning advice to clients based on their individual needs and goals.

    • Develop comprehensive financial plans that include investment strategies, retirement planning, estate planning, and risk management.

    • Stay up-to-date on financial products and trends to ensure clients are offered the best possible advice.

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their ongoing satisfaction.

    • Collaborate with other members of the team to ensure clients receive a holistic approach to financial planning.

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.

    • Relevant certification, such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Proven experience as a Financial Adviser, with a strong track record of success.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Client Services Officer

  • Client Services Officer role in our Fareham office

    Join a thriving financial planning practice.

    This is an excellent opportunity if you are a client focused administrator seeking a supportive firm that will assist you with further professional development, if desired.

    The purpose of the position is to support the company in terms of new business and offering clients a high level of ongoing service.

    • Liaise with clients, providing full range of support to all servicing requirements of existing client's Investments, Pensions and Mortgages.

    • Be the first point of contact for clients and relied upon by them to resolve any administrative issues.

    • Book client meetings and manage the calendar of appointments for advisers.

    • Prepare meeting packs; construct portfolio valuation reports and pre-populate new business application forms.

    • Help ensure files are compliant and complete.

    • Process new business and track to completion.

    • Write letters to clients and providers.

    • Provide a high level of service to clients, including regular valuations and updates on the status of their cases.

    • Maintain and update back-office systems.

    • Perform other ad-hoc tasks in the office as required.

    This is an office-based role for a growing company keen to invest in the development of the team with opportunities for professional exams and career progression if desired.

  • Previous client servicing experience is desirable. This is a client servicing role and the successful candidate must have excellent telephone manner and offer a warm greeting to clients in person when they visit the office. It is equally as important to be able to build lasting working relationships with providers and investment partners in order to help track through new business and ensure the best ongoing level of service for our clients.

    Knowledge of financial products and processes would be a strong advantage.
